Have you ever heard of it? I hadn't until pretty recent. Here is the definition from the Wikipedia:

The symptoms are thought to be caused by mast cells in the surface of the skin releasing histamines without the presence of antigens, due to the presence of a weak membrane surrounding the mast cells. The histamines released cause the skin to swell in the affected areas.

Self-referential illustration of dermatographic urticariaThis weak membrane easily and rapidly breaks down under physical pressure causing an allergic-like reaction, generally a red wheal (welt) to appear on the skin. It can often be confused with an allergic reaction to the object causing a scratch, when in fact it is the act of being scratched that causes a wheal to appear. These wheals are a subset of urticaria (hives) that appear within minutes, accompanied by a sensation of burning, and itchiness. The first outbreak of urticaria can lead to others on body parts not directly stimulated, scraped or scratched. In a normal case the swelling will reduce itself with no treatment within 15–30 minutes, but in extreme cases, itchy red wheals may last anywhere from a few hours to days.

Scratching on the skin with a dull object can produce Dermographism.It has been reported that one artist with dermatographism uses her skin as her medium.

Causes
The underlying cause of dermographism is not known, and can last for many years without relief. 95% of chronic cases are never solved. Sometimes the condition goes away, sometimes it stays forever. It is not a life threatening disease and is not contagious (transferable to other persons).

Symptoms can be induced by stress, tight or abrasive clothing, watches, glasses, energetic kissing, heat, cold,[4] or anything that causes stress to the skin or the patient. In many cases it is merely a minor annoyance, but in some rare cases symptoms are severe enough to impact a patient's life.

Treatment
Dermographism can be treated by antihistamines which prevents the histamine from causing the reaction, and these may need to be given as a combination of H1 antagonists, or possibly with an H2-receptor antagonist such as cimetidine.[5][6]

Not taking hot baths or showers may help if it is generalized (all over) and possibly for localized (in a specific area). If not taking showers helps, it may be a condition called shower eczema. If it mainly affects the head it may be psoriasis. In rare cases, allergy tests may uncover substances the patient is allergic to. Using biodegradable or hypo-allergenic soaps and laundry supplies may help.

While cromoglycate, which prevents histamine from being released from mast cells, is used topically in rhinitis and asthma, it is not effective orally for treating chronic urticaria.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs have long been used to treat urticaria in the Asian world. Results of clinical trials of both acupuncture and Chinese herbs are numerous and suggest a potential remedy for acute urticaria but these are far from conclusive and likely a result of the placebo effect, as they did not provide a control group.

Wow, sounds like a whole lot of jargon to me.... Basically about 8 months ago or so I started to notice that my skin would get really itchy, I would scratch, and wherever I scratched my skin would swell up and it would turn bright red, and it would get real warm and kind of a burning sensation. My scalp even got really itchy, like drive me crazy itchy (obvioiusly I assume dry scalp) I figured it was a laundry detergent allergy so we switched back to one I have used in the past. No change. Actually got a little worse perhaps, coworkers would ask why my neck ( or some other random part of me ie: arm, leg etc..)was so red. I really didnt know. So after some time and some mega irritation I started doing research. My mom actually told me about skin writers so I looked it up and all symptoms fit. I have since then seen a dermatologist and been put on antihistamines.Now I am not itchy at all usually , including scalp, but I am sad that when I do write on my arms etc.. it doesn't show as good or stay as long. That part about all this was great, my kids liked to see it.

Confusion

BANG. BANG. I bolted straight out of bed, rubbed my eyes and glanced at the clock, 12:45 am. Dang. I stand quietly in the dark watching, listening. All is quiet all seems well. The only thing I can hear are the subtle noises of sleep (my son moving around on the bed etc..). Slowly and silently i began to move about the house, check on my kids, check out the windows, check everything, and I find absolutely NOTHING. I let the cat out (darn cat), I check the windows again. NOTHING. Slowly, wearily begin to creep back to bed. My sleep ruined, on edge, curious....Wondering.

Now I tell you that I swear to you, swear to you that I bolted out of bed because I heard (or thought I heard?) (or dreamed that I heard?)someone knocking at the door..

Life as usaul seems to be crazy busy somedays, but I have a goal of getting back on here and getting reinvolved (maybe because we have just purchased a new computer that may be smart enough to let me download pics and all). We went to visit my parents today and my kids were running around the house in their motorcycle helmets. It was really cute.

Grandpa was tickling her back- she loved it and kept going back for more.

This is typically an uneventful day for me but my mom came a few days early and made me a birthday dinner. I chose homemade pizza, and it was really good. She brought some great noise makers for the kids- we had cake and ice cream and it was a fun night.

Well , I think that we have almost finished with refinancing our house - which will save us about $100 a month. There were some misunderstandings along the way but it all worked out. The mortgage company we work with is great.

We have decided that I will go back to work, it is financially necessary, and with the help of some great family and friends I believe I will have minimal child care costs.

I had to explain this to the people that I babysit for and it was a hard thing to do. I feel terrible for them because I have been in the exact position before as well. They were all very understanding however.

"L" is sick again. Terrible croupy? cough and stuffy nose with a mild fever.

I spoke with a preschool that is opening this fall and they are willing to take both "K" and "Q" but now I am not sure I can pull it off if I am working.

I now use Facebook, however I only use it about 20 minutes or so a day, so that is not the reason I have not been blogging.

My kids get cuter every single day and are always saying things that crack me up. Tonight "K" is watching Madagascar and she likes it cause of the hungry, hungry hippo. I think its funny.

"Q" has a new favorite sentence: " No Momma"
Unfortunately I think it is funny. Although I hear it a lot. And I think it is more the way he says it that I think is cute. He says a lot of big sentences now, he just told me that "It is dark outside, I need go to bed". He has a good vocabulary now, and astounds me everyday with what he knows.

"L" had a program at school on Friday and it was super cute. We got to learn about rocks.

Kimya Dawson.

I found a radio station on my phone that claimed to be a Toddler station so I clicked on it to check it out and the very first song was "My Mom" by Kimya Dawson.

I would NEVER and I repeat NEVER willingly subject my children to this song.

I have never listened to any of her other songs and not sure that I ever will.

We took our kids to the Jordan Circus last night. The kids had a blast and we did not get home until almost 11. Everything was much more expensive than we thought.
For example: two adult tickets cost me 32.00. I just did not anticipate it costing that much. The kids really wanted to ride the elephants and we really wanted them too but when it came time to buy the tickets, they were 8 bucks a piece. We still would have done it but we had run out of money after dinner and cotton candy. Any how , here are some of the better (but not so great)pics we managed to get.

1. I am a stay at home mom.
2. I have 3 wonderful kids. My youngest two are only 11 months apart, sometimes I think it feels like I have twins.
3. I love The Twilight Series books.
4 In addition to my Facebook account I have a: Myspace account, blog, account with a local mommies network, a Cafemom account, classmates.com, reunion.com. I think I am addicted to the internet.
5. On a daily basis I typically have anywhere from, in addition to my own 2 kids, up to 8 kids at my house at any given time.
6. I named my son Quintin but I have always wanted a son named Christian, We did not name my son Christian because my husbands nephews last name is Christian, but now I regret it cause I will probably not have any more children and I will never have a son named Christian.
7. I stress and worry about everything all of the time. Not normal things like the kids are messing up the house, cause those things I generally do not care about, but alot of What ifs... Bills... Health.... Etc..

9. I have only been to Las Vegas once in my life and I was 8 months pregnant and miserable the whole time I was there.
10. Playing Mario Kart on WII is one of my favorite things to do, also competing online against my brother. I also like to play The Sims on Xbox or Playstation.

13. I hate going outside, and really never go anywhere unless I have to or it is a weekend and my husband is with me.

25. I live in a small town in Utah and I love it and everything about it, I love the house that we bought about a year ago, and as of right now I never want to leave. I have met some great friends and I live near some old friends again, we have lots of family here and right now other than this job recession we are having, we are very happy.

Skor vs. Heath

Ok grandpa, I have been an avid Heath bar lover for a long time and apparently somehow I inherited that from you. Anywho I was in Maverik one day and I saw a Skor bar. What is the difference? I asked myself. So I bought one of each for the taste test. Luckily mom was around that day so she took half a Heath and half a Skor and I took half a Heath and half a Skor. Mom liked the Skor. I liked the Skor.
SKOR WON!
Have you tried it , it was really good compared to the Heath. I am now a fan of the Skor bar.

My "K" says the darndest things!

So yesterday was an eventful day (not really eventful but for me eventful), I watched a friends 2 kids all day long from 7:30 to 3:30. All day I pondered... and made a decision, I was taking my littles to the clinic. My "Q" has had fevers for a few days and a strange rash, my "K" has what looks to be an infected toe. (Ouch). I called the hospital and I was told clinic starts at 4. So immediately we were on the move, my friend picked up her kids and we were out the door. We got to the clinic and they said "oh this doctor does not start until 5 today, but we can sign you in", so I signed in and headed for the wait. My kids decided they needed to potty. We headed down the "ALLIGATOR" (this is what K called it, she wanted to ride down the alligator) to the bathroom. Shucks it is closed for cleaning. We head back up the 'alligator' find out where the next bathroom is, head back down the 'alligator' to the next nearest bathroom. Shucks. It too is closed for cleaning. Spinning circles looking like a dear in headlights, someone decides to point me in the direction of the next nearest bathroom. Woohoo. We made it. 2 kids down, one wont go, that being "Q". It is now 4:30 so we head back, we decided to take the stairs this time. It is two sets of stairs , you walk up one and then turn corner and walk the next. We get to the top of the first set , getting ready to turn the corner when "K" announces loudly " MOM, LOOK AT THAT FAT BELLY" and pointed to someone walking in the front doors. Needless to say I pretty much ran the next set of stairs embarassed.
We got back to the waiting room, kids running and playing. "K" stops in front of the lady sitting across from us and says "MOM I DONT LIKE THAT LADY". OY! How embarassing
, I apologized to her and then had to quietly explain to "K" that we dont say these sorts of things.
Suddenly "Q" decides he needs to potty again. Luckily the first bathroom had opened up. The rest of the visit was uneventful. "K" is on antibiotic,and "Q" has viral exanthom? whatever that is. Apparently a viral infection but caused him to get a rash?
(Oh and a side note, sitting in the pharmacy there was an older lady with dark black hair and really bright lipstick. My kids refused to sit by her , and she knew it she looked at me and said "I think I scare them!"

Ok. To cut his hair or not to cut his hair that is the question....

I kept asking "Q" questions and trying to talk to him, but I just knew he was ignoring me cause I could see his little head over the chair and he was watching T.V. I kept thinking he has learned way to much from his dad!
So I went to check on him. And that is what I saw.

And lastely, look at the size of the spoon he chose for his cereal. This spoon was ginormous (my own word there. sorry) next to him.

This is ultimately one of my favorite songs right now. I just believe that what he sings about is so true. When I think about being a kid there were so many things that we got away with that I am not so sure I would let my kids do now. Also I would watch tv on occasion but nothing like my kids want to do right now. They never go out and play , it is all nintendo and t.v. When I was younger I would disappear on my bike with my friends and we would be gone for hours. I would pop into the house to get food and that was it. Last night I invited some friends over to play Mario Kart on the Wii.

We also played Guitar Hero on the Xbox 360.

We had a blast. It is so fun sometimes to hang out with friends and laugh and gossip and just have fun (and eat a lot of good snacks).

So thanks to all my friends that came to hang and have fun. It was just what I needed.

O.K. so I can not truthfully say that this is something I like to do , nor can I say that this is something i am very good at. What I can say however is that I only have like 1 week left and I have not wrapped 1 darn thing!

Chili Chip Dip (Not sure if it has any real name)
1 oz package of cream cheese
1 Big can of chili or 2 small cans
Regular cheese (to taste)

I usually just mix all of these together throw it in the oven on 350 for a few minutes until it all warms up and mixes nicely.
Grab some chips and dip away.
I have also seen people layer it , cream cheese, chili , reg cheese.

Next:

Easy "Oreo" Cookies
2 pkg. devils food cake mix
4 eggs, Lightly Beaten
2/3 cups vegetable oil
1 (80z.) pkg. Cream cheese, softened
1/2 cups butter or marg. softened
3 to 4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
(can use food coloring for fun Holiday colors)

In a mixing bowl, beat cake mixes, eggs and oil (batter will be very stiff). Roll into 1 inch balls: place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten slightly. Bake at 350 for 7 to 9 minutes. Cool.

In another mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter, add sugar and vanilla: mix until desired consistency and smooth. You can color the frosting or leave it white. Spread frosting on one cookie top add another cookie top to make a sandwich. (Makes about 4 dozen- varies according to size of balls made)

I got to go on a Most Awesome, Totally Fantabulous (this has become my favorite word-sorry for that) kid free shopping day on Sunday. I got to go shopping with my mom, and we had a blast. It started out with her picking me up a house away, on the street, so that my kids would not see her. Then we had really fun , snow packed and slick roads. So we drove like 40 miles at 35 MPH.
(Yes folks I had to drive 40 miles to go shopping but my poor mom had to drive more like 90 - Now that is dedication to a fun day)
It took F o r e v e rrrrr..... But we got there safe and sound. We had a day of histerics, seriously laughing constantly. We had a great lunch at the Golden Corral (I ate until I was sick), and then we shopped more. The day went so fast. I keep wishing now that today was still Sunday.
And I believe that we are officially done x-mas shopping for the kids. Hip- Hip Hooray!

Coloring Contest

So my oldest child received a print out for a coloring contest, color it in, turn it in type thing. Well for two days she moped around the house saying really negative things like "I could never win" or " I do not color good enough there is no chance I will win". Well after a lot of prompting she colored it in and hung it on the fridge. When the time came she turned it in.

Well could you believe she won.

She won 10 bucks.
Now that is where the money is at. What have I been thinking.

But seriously it made her whole week, she was ecstatic. And she is saving her money, she has not spent it yet.

I live in a tri-level house that has 4 bedrooms, 3 on the top level and one in the lowest level. Originally the top level bedrooms consisted of our room, my oldest daughters room and then my two youngest shared a room and then the 4th bedroom was our toy room. Well , I just had to go and decide to change that. Now, all the kids share the biggest bedroom upstairs (which is the biggest bedroom in the house) because they always shared anyway and never slept in their own designated bedrooms. One room upstairs is the toy room now and the other an office. Our room is now downstairs and we have an attached bathroom but it is much smaller than our old room so literally we have a bed and a dresser (with a tv on it) and a night stand and its packed. I have realized that we have way to much junk, I suddenly want to eliminate everything. That way there is nothing to mess up.

So after about 5 hours last night my kids were fine. Threw up a few times , got it out of their systems and they were up and running today like nothing happened yesterday. So today was a good day. Hubby had to work, so I ran a few errands, we saw santa, and hung out with friends. I had a babysitter so that hubby and I could go to dinner and see Twilight movie. Hubby got home on time (well at least early enough to go to dinner and a movie). I started to get a little sick, took some immodium and we were on our way. Dropped kids off and went to JB's for dinner. Good food, good eats but by this time I knew I was not making it through a movie, (at least not without missing half the movie anyway) not only that but hubby had been up since 4:30 am and was literally dozing off in the car. Needless to say I put hubby to bed, picked up kids and we (well they) are all tucked into bed. I am trying. And Twilight tickets will be purchased another night.

So I had this great day planned: First, I am watching my friends 3 kids so that they can go to Twilight movie at 4:30 and dinner. Then they were going to take my kids so my husband and I could go to dinner and the late movie. Was. I am still watching my friends kids but in the meantime both of my younger kids start throwing up everywhere. At almost the exact same time. Go figure. NO Twilight for me tonight. Disappointed.

I have a Not Me kid. What I mean by that is that every time I say something, she says "Not me". It does not matter what I say she says " Not Me" , sometimes she proceeds to say "Not Q" , "Not L", "Not mom", and "Not dad".
This was all very cute the first few times she said this, but now it has been months and it is getting crazy annoying. I love her but I hope that this stage ends soon!

Dinosaur

So here it was a Saturday and we had nothing to do (oh sure, i could clean the house or do laundry but who wants to do that) so we headed off to Dinosaur, Colorado. Why? Lotto tickets of course. We had 20.00 bucks burning a hole in our pockets, 3 restless kids, some snacks and a full tank of gas, and we were off. Of course the kids were miserable the whole time, the movie they were watching froze up (i am sure it was scratched up), and the remote batteries were dead, so in the end we had to shut it off. That is when it got crazy. They were laughing and screaming and such. In such tight quarters that is not a good thing. We made it to Dinosaur, we went to the Loaf & Jug and Mike bought 15.00 worth of tickets (scratchoffs) and we took the kids to the park across the street so they could play while we scratched away (envisioning of course, thoughts of winning the big money. Big Money!). Well we only won 6.00 but it was fun.

When we pulled into the park parking lot these guys were only like 20 feet or so away , they backed off a bit but stuck around for a few minutes.

This guy was hiding but he eventually made an appearance.

This was also at the park. I thought it was interesting.

I love that there streets are named after the dinosaurs. I would live here just to say I live on Brontosaurus street.

We headed home but not before stopping for dinner. Taco Bell. Kids choice.

When we got home the kids decided they wanted Root Beer floats. So we went and bought the stuff for those. We then watched Journey to the Center of the Earth to finish out our night.

I am addicted to the Twilight Series. I know. I know.
I have read the first two books and I am starting my 3rd book now, and I cannot wait to read what is going to happen next. I have adamantly refused, in the past, to read this book. Vampires, how cheesy.. but my friend read the first book and loved it so much she ran out the same night and bought the series, and then she talked me into reading them. I think they are great, I have to know what is going to happen next and I cannot usually foresee or even guess what will happen next. So I am off .... to read. Just had to share.

This was a really cool looking house that the kids trick or treated, unfortunately no one was home.

We had such a fun Halloween. My mom came down and we all went down to main street, they were doing a main street trick or treat. It was fun but chaotic and there were tons of people everywhere. After main street we went to one of our local grocery stores because they were handing out treats. They gave each kid 2 or 3 handfuls of candy, a soda, a full size candy bar, and a bag of nutter butter cookies. Very cool. After that we went home and visited the houses in our neighborhood. We visited with family for a few and then we hopped in the car and went to see more family. Got some dinner, went home and ate and went to bed. It was a good , fun night.

Pumpkin Carving

After the corn maize we decided that we would order some pizza and have a fun pumpkin carving night. Sometimes things do not always work out the way you want them to but you make do. Right.
Well "Q" spent the night digging the gunk out of the pumpkin and then flinging it around the kitchen. Funny. "L" got really upset because her pumpkin did not look right. Keep in mind that she is 7 and we really don't carve pumpkins often. She is our drama queen. "K" had a blast, she loved the pumpkin seeds so much that she sneaked some raw ones upstairs and ate them, so I could not tell her she should not do that until I cooked them.

Don't worry we had a very good eye on him.

My kids all loved the cow train. They rode it twice.

"K" on the PVC slide. I think, oddly, that this was their favorite. For some reason though she was terrified to go down sitting up, so this is how she did it.

This is the tube slide that was attached to the hay jump. "Q" went down once and biffed it at the end so he would not do it again. The girls had fun.

This is a pic of "Q" while he was feeding the goats. He thought it was hilarious to get right up to them and then throw the food at them.

They were very friendly and ate the food right out of your hands.

"L" has been to the maize with school previously so she thought that she could get us through it but dad had to come to her rescue and guide us out.

"Q" was not a happy camper throughout the maize. We made him walk with us and he did not like it. He wanted carried.

"K" is so mellow. She was just along for the fun.

I never got a pic of "Q" , he did not venture far in and every time he did and I tried to take a pic someone got in the way.

The maize was fun and we had a good day. They had a few hidden fees that we were aware of. For example: The kids all hopped into the cow for a good fun Cow Train ride, and then we were told it was 1.00 per person. Ouch. But they were already in so we had to pay. They loved it so much they 'puppy dog eyed us' into another ride. Another $3.00 ouch. The ride to the pumpkin patch was free but you don't know how much the pumpkins you choose are, until you get back to the farm. We paid $3.00 for one pumpkin. The pumpkin launcher and Corn launcher also cost money. We never ended up doing those. We were there for about 2 hours or so and we had a good time. We will probably do it again next year.

Jumping

Ok so my kids decided they like to jump on everything so for "K's" B-day we bought her a new jump house, it has been a huge hit. If they start jumping on furniture I say "we are not supposed to jump on the (couch) (bed) whatever" and they say "Jump house only" and take off running for it. It is the best ever. There are so many emotions that kids go through and I have seen them all with this toy. One second happy, laughing, giggling fun. The next is anger and crying and pain. It has been a blast!

However it did not last long, with at least 4 kids a day (and usually much more) playing in it , it has not lasted long. It has 3 holes in it and they are all in seams so I can not seem to get them to seal. So everyday I air it up and it lasts like 20 minutes. So we do that over and over.
Oh what I will do for kids entertainment.

My mom came to visit the other day and she had planned and prepared a great fun cookie making, shaping and frosting day. We also made ghosts out of tootsie pops. It was chaos with lots of unexpected kids but so much fun. Somehow we managed to forget to take pics of all kids chipping in, these were from the time we were finishing up the last cookies to bake until they were done. We all had great fun!

Quick little update

So this last two weeks I suddenly started watching a 1 year old little girl. It all started on a Monday, this lady called me to see if I would be interested in this opportunity. We set up to meet that night and discuss everything. All went well and we decided she would come her first time that Friday. However just an hour later or so she called me back to see if she could bring her daughter on Tuesday morning and she would stay till one when her mom and sister got back from a shopping trip that they had planned. So I said ok. Tuesday turned into Wednesday and all the rest of the week. She is the cutest little girl, quiet, sweet and fun. No complaints at all. She has already grown on me. However she has never been around stairs before and I have two sets of stairs so suddenly I am using baby gates. My kids hate them. They felt like they were trapped. When they realized that they could get up and out by telling me they wanted out so that I could lift them over, well I became a body builder in training.
Yeah! I am pretty sure I will be a body builder by the time this little girl turns too.. Holy cow... Do you know how much a 7 year old weighs. And to lift from one step off level all the way over a gate, OUCH.. My 2, and 3 year old and the 4 year old I watch , well I think that they think it is fun to get lifted over the gates because I swear to you it is every two minutes. Like they get over the gate run around for one second and then they want over the gate again. It is exhausting.

I am working with the little girl to get used to the stairs but it is not easy all day to go up and down the stairs at her pace. And to watch her teetering at the very top and getting ready to topple, definitely gets a heart pounding.

Crazy Days...

Wow it seems like my days are cram packed but i don't actually accomplish anything at all. My house is never totally clean and my dishes are never totally done, but hey we are having fun. I currently watch a 4 year old on a daily basis, he is a great kid, quiet and fun. But I also watch my friends kids whenever they need help. Why? Because I love all of the kids that I watch so it is really no big thang, and two sometimes I make some extra cash that really helps out the family. Ecspecially with Christmas creeping in! This week and for the next few weeks I will be and have been watching my friends two kids for only an hour or so a day for 3 or 4 days a week so she can go to the chiropractor cause she threw her back out. I have another friend that is a massage therapist and gets calls to go meet a client on short notice and I have the luxury of being around to help her out when she needs me.

Today for example was a crazy day... I got kids up and dressed and we headed off to the park with friend and her two kids. The kids rode their bikes and trikes and had fun. We stayed until about 11:15 and then we headed back to my house to make lunch for our hubbies. At about noon another friend dropped off her daughter, because her husband is sick and had a doctors appointment. My hubby and Melissa's hubby came to the house for lunch about 12:05. And then another friend dropped off her two kids around 12:20 because she had a hair appointment. Around 1:30 my friend Melissa and her two kids left. Around 3 my friend came and got her 1 child and then around 3:30 the other two kids got picked up. All of my days are like that, every day. It keeps me so entertained and busy that my days are flying by, and my kids are having tons of fun because there is always some one around to play with.

1. I hate the feeling of carpet on my feet. I almost always have socks or shoes on.

2. I will not eat certain foods because of there textures and sometimes there colors.

3. The thought of getting a massage, manicure or pedicure gives me anxiety because strange people would be touching me.

4. I have no organizational skills whatsoever. I also have no sense of interior decoration, my house is a bit bland(as in i have no clue how to decorate) and unorganized.

5. I eat pancakes with peanut butter on them. I love peanut butter. I dip pretzels in it. I love peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Almost anything with peanut butter is good.

6. I always wear an undershirt under my regular shirt. I do not know why I guess it just makes me feel more comfortable.

7. I love to watch old school T.V shows like: Saved by the bell, 90210, Fresh Prince of Bel Air and I also like to watch shows like Project Runway, Cake decorations, and reality shows like that.

Out with a toothache..

So I have not hardly even been online all week because I have been out with the worst toothache I have ever had (this being the only one I have ever had makes it the worst by default).I started my week out with throbbing gums, and pain that shot up into my ear making it feel like it would burst open , and then shooting into my head giving me a headache. I waited and waited for the pain to stop, not knowing what it was, but no it just kept getting worse. I finally caved and went to see a dentist, it turns out that I need a root canal or I need to get my tooth pulled. Now a root canal is going to cost me almost $1600.00 dollars and they want it upfront (obviously not easy to come up with) but I am terrified of either option. If i pull my tooth it will be much cheaper , but HELLO... I will be missing a tooth. Ughhhh,, I hate making decisions. I keep hearing that a root canal may not even be worth the money because they do not always hold.
Anywho.. thru all of this I have totally missed playing my Wii, I have just felt way to crappy. I have played like 2 times in 6 days. Now on the bright side, I was in so much pain I could not eat in as many days so I actually lost a few pounds anyway. I have not snacked, I have had very little soda pop.

Today I think that the antibiotics are kicking in because I have had minimal pain and have not had to use any pain pills they gave me. Lucky because I was getting low.

And that is a whole different story, the pain pills they gave me made me feel so crappy that i could not even take them, I had to cut them in half. This helped kill the pain a bit but not give me all the nauseated crappy feelings I was having. Apparently I am a wimp.

Long story short, I am feeling better because the antibiotics are working but I still have a decision to make: Root Canal........or ..............tooth pulled. I don't know what to do.

I am so excited about having a nintendo wii, I have a friend that recently purchased this system and I have played the game FIT, and I love it. After each time I played I woke up the next day being a little sore from the exercises and things that you play. I felt great. Now I have my own. Yes!

That is pretty muh the most exciting thing so far that has happened to me this week....

" Q" is sick.

I have decided (if things work out) that I am going to babysit for someone on a daily basis, so that will be a little extra income , I guess.

We shopped for "Q's" birthday gift since his birthday is coming up and hw will be 2 years old. My baby is going to be 2. Can't believe it.

My husband got a 1.00 per hour raise and his monthly bonus is supposed to double, that is always good. (I wish)

Oh, I have recently become excited that Christmas is coming soon, can you believe it. It is going to be so fun this year. We have actually decided to start now as opposed to starting in mid December, because that usually leads to bitterness about this blessed holiday. We are also thinking that since we live in a small town with limited options we may shop online this year. We have also decided that since we have a house that we love, we want to decorate outside, which is something we have never done before.

Last friday I was fortunate enough to have a moms night out with some friends, we went to the local bowling alley (which was pretty much empty except for us) and bowled a few rounds, ate some good food, and hung out with some really fun people. We stayed out til 11 and I got a bit tired but I had fun.

Last but not least I found out that my mom may come visit soon, and I am so excited for that.

Compiling a whole week....

So on Friday we went to the Splash Park, and spent the whole day there. The kids had a blast and "L" got to have a fun day before school started, and I had my little brother with me and that was awesome too. On Saturday night we enjoyed "The Ultimate Combat Experience". My husband bought a table so us and some friends could go to the fight. Well our table ended up being like right next to the cage so that was really awesome. I ended up having a really good time, I was not sure what to expect and it was kinda gruesome at times but it was fun. After the fight we went to a friends house and played Rock Band for a few hours. I can tell you this... I have no hand eye coordination because I suck at this game.

My mom was watching the children, and just stayed the night at our house so that we could go. Right as my mom had shown up on Saturday I turned on the oven to preheat cause it was dinner time and we left. On our way to the fights I recieved a call.." We had a near cotastrophe, but it has been diverted" at this point I hear the smoke alarm going off in the background. "When I opened the oven to put in the pizza , we found a half cooked Hannah Montana doll and the smell of burning plastic has set off your alarm, and the alarm won't stop". My only advice.."Open some windows and fan the smell or disconnect the alarm". I had to calm a devastated 7 year old and assure her that we would get her a new one.

The only downfall was that Mike was on-call and ended up having to go to work at 8am on Sunday.

Since Mike was not home on Sunday I decided to go shopping. Not as fun as it sounds with 3 kids. I went to our local store, and tried as a might, they did not have what I was looking for. So after some contemplation, and going home to get more money, I decided to drive 30 miles to our local Walmart. I will first say this.. My kids are great, they really did well. But it was like this. My first stop was to find an over the door organizer, that was pretty uneventful, I found them with no hitches. Kids started fighting over drink. I stopped in an aisle and aided in the sharing of a drink. About 3 minutes. I headed for the Lunch boxes, Mike needed a new one, when I got there I did not know exactly what he was looking for. So I did some texting and looking and calling. I really got nowhere I could not decide. My kids decided they were hungry. I went all the way to the other corner of the store and got them food, popcorn chicken and barbeque chicken. My kids loved the food , but again we had sharing issues and alot of messiness. While they were eating, we went to the clothing section to find "L" a pair of levis for school. Went to wash all kids. Back to clothes. After searching the whole section we found about 5 pair of pants or capris that were her size. That was all they had. We went to the fitting rooms for her to try them on. After the first pair "K" says "I gotta go potty". So I make "L" put her clothes back on so we can go. Well once there "K" won't go and we were in there forever trying. Back to dressing rooms. After awhile she finally chooses her clothes, we put the others back and head off to electronics. And we realize that "L" does not have her shoes. Back to dressing room. Back to electronics. They do not have what I needed there- Aerosmith guitar hero game for Mike. Back to lunch boxes, finally choosing one. Next stop... Rannie gave "L" money to replace the Hannah doll with a new one, however she decided she did not want a Hannah doll, so we had to walk the toy aisle. Of course all of the kids are now excited and starting to get rambuncsious, and they all want something. Well finally she decides she wants nail polish for school ( I can handle nail polish, anything else , no way..) , so we go to make up. She finally chooses nail polish, but sees the makeup cases, so we spend more time looking. Finally time to go, we get to the check out and they are so busy that every aisle is spilling into the clothes. RRRRRRRRR. We are ready to go , kids getting super fussy and I am tired. I get them drinks. Remember that I need batteries, run the checkstands looking for them. Wait in line for 1/2 hour, finally onward home.

This was a very long day, and still had to get "L" ready for school the next day.

Sorry that day was probably really boring for you, but I had to get it out of my head.

Monday was back to getting up early, battling a slightly ornery, and very tired but excited child. Normally she rides the bus, but today she wanted a ride, so I woke up other kids and got them dressed and we headed off to school. I needed to go to the store but it did not open til' 9 and it was only 8 am so we went to the park, after dropping "L" off at school. That was the most eventful thing of this day.

Tuesday "L" had a back to school night, so my parents watched my kids while we took "L" so that we could meet her teacher. After that we went to dinner and then picked up the kids.

Wednesday was the day that my computer went KAPUT! It will not turn on at all. So I had to spend one whole day with out internet access (this is harder than it sounds). I also was able to help a friend pack up some of her kitchen because they are having mold issues. Later that night I drove out to my parents and picked up there old computer tower. Finally internet access.

Thursday I had a friend come over for lunch and then we went to another friends house and the kids played with fingerpaints and playdough, ate fruit pizza and cookies, played in the water and in whole just had a blast.

That sums up my week.

We also got to go to Liberty park this week and as usual the kids had tremendous fun. It really is a great park, it is made so that anyone of any age could really enjoy it. There is lots of shade, lots of water, food, drinks, rides, a playground, tennis courts, horse shoes, and all sorts of stuff. Again I am going to post some pics.

First pictures are of "The Canyons"- these were a series of different water canals that the kids could play in and they were all different. I tried to get them in order we started from left to right and played in them all. At the end all of the canals and things weave into a little pool.

After the canyons we grabbed a snow cone. The concession stand was by the old rides that they have at the park - and yes they actually run them. There was also a merry go round and ferris wheel and maybe some little cars?

It also seemed like Tracy Aviary was located over here- we opted not to go there this day.
Finally we hit the park.
This park is big and there is also a mini splash park here to , and somehow i did not take pictures.
The energy seemed endless.
We had family join us at the park later on, it was such a great time visiting with everyone. But I spent most of my time chasing kids.
Day turned to night and my uncle brought all the kids glow sticks- Big Hit! Thanks Unc!

There is also a lake at the park , and paddle boats but they were way on the other end and we never even saw them. We were at Liberty Park for approximately 7 Hours and we had so much fun. Thanks to all the family that went out of their way to come visit- we had a blast!

And a great big HUMONGO thanks to my mom and dad for letting us crash at their house for like 5 days, feeding and accomodating us and showing us such a great and fun time. We loved every minute.

So this past weekend we got to spend some time at a recreation (fitness) center and it was so much fun. We only participated in the water events but we had a blast. I am going to post some fun pics. The best part was we got to hang out with my mom and my little brother alot this week.

Sick Kids..

Oh my what trying times these become... My middle child is sick , she is just under 3 years old. All in all she has actually been really good, but the late night wake up calls to throw the child in the bathtub to drop a fever (I think I have done this about 5 times now since Wednesday morning, plus 2 regular baths for washing), the sudden energy surges when they are feeling well at 5 o clock in the morning. I am exhausted..However it is not all bad, I have gotten alot of cuddle time, I actually laid down and watched movies with them for like half a day just chillen. I have had to push some plans back a few days, and I am going to take her to the doctor tomorrow but life goes on right.. Hopefully everyone will understand.

This park is so cool, my oldest loves it. I personally have only been here once or twice. We are planning a trip to Liberty Park and i personally can't wait, I think it will be a blast. I am hoping to get to see some family while we are in the area (hint, hint redhoodoos).

Wow! You probably now think that I am crazy, and well maybe I am but let me explain. My middle child has become known as Tators or Tator Tot to me, I do not know how or why but that is what I call her, and that is what she answers to. So you see in my house this is a common statement. Weird but common. I thought I would share some other commonly weird or funny things you may here at my house.

First kids nicknames: "Princess", "Lou Lou", "Tators", " Tator Tot", "Q", "Shwenton", "Chunky Monkey", "Silly Billy", "Crazy", "Beautiful", "Handsome", "Stinky Bo Binky" perhaps I could go on but I will stop there.

Crazy words that I hear:

"Denna" = this means I want to watch Dennis the Menace ( I have no idea how I figured that out).

"Denna Sar" =somehow means the same as Denna, apparently depends on his mood.

"Froop"= pretty obviously just fruit

"Unwear"= means I want to wear underwear

"Sackett"= Not going into much detail, only boys and men have them and they dangle.

"VV"= T.V

"Bob Bob Pants"= Sponge Bob Square Pants ( unfortunately popular with my kids)

"Undressed"=oddly I found out that this means Under Arrest

I end up with statements like" Chunky monkey wants Bob Bob Pants", and "I need my Tator Tot by my side"

As a parent I find myself making up funny songs, making funny faces to make my kids laugh, dancing around just for the heck of it, laughing at things that really should not be funny.

This is "Hearts" L's new dog that she bought at Walmart with her b-day money.

So I havent posted in a few days, because really not alot has happened. I spent Wednesday and Thursday gathering items to sale at a multi -family yard sale a friend of mine was having. Friday and Saturday I sat out in the hot sun with some friends, watching children, and greeting our eager yard salers. We definitely met some interesting people I can assure you. Our children ran amuck outside all day playing and having a great time. Out of 2 days I made about 115.00 dollars , so not to shabby really. So 2 days and 115.00 = hot sun (my face fried), good friends, happy kids (sometimes not so happy), all in all I had a good time. I had alot of baby clothes when I started and I still had alot when it ended so I decided that instead of packing it home I would donate them to the D.I.

Saturday while I was at the yard sale with the 2 littlest, Mike took L to Walmart (30 miles from home) so that she could spend her birthday money. And she spent it all. While over ther Mike visited his cousin, who told us that we were invited to Grandma's for dinner. This is a great treat cause we all Love Grandmas cookin. Well upon arrival at Grandma's we realized that we had not actually been invited to Grandma's for dinner, only Mikes cousin and family had. It was very ackward, she of course accomodated, and let it be known that she tries not to have to many Kids at the house at any given time for Grandpa's sake. Yeah, we still felt like huge idiots.

That night their was fireworks at the park for our local yearly celebration, we opted to stay home and watch them from the front yard. We got home right around 8:30 or so from Grandma's and decided that the fireworks would start anytime so we all gathered outside to hang out. Well we waited, and waited and waited. They did not start until 10:30. But kids had a blast so well worth it.

Sunday, well I think that I may have caught a bug of some sort because I seriously got out of bed at 11, by 1 I was back in bed and slept until 5:45 with two really cozy tots laying by my side. Finally we got up and had dinner (at this point we opted for pizza hut cause I certainly did not want to cook). We tried the pasta , the chicken one, it was so tasty, I will definitely get it again. After that I was back in bed close to 10 , again with a cozy tot laying by my side ( she would not sleep since she had such a late nap).

And finally today, I woke up feeling pretty good, started cleaning my house and then it all hit me again. I did not feel so good. Alas, I only accomplished a few things but better than nothing I suppose. It happens alot that I do not feel well , but usually I can trudge forth and it will go unnoticed to all but me, this week however it hit me like a sack of bricks.

So it is like 10 o clock at night- all of my kids are in bed-and I walk downstairs to find this:

He was watching Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert in 3D.

He claims he just wanted to see if it was really 3D, yet he watched almost the whole show, and when they said to put the glasses on he put them on and when they said to take the glasses off he took them off. Cracked me up.

I am so not a Happy camper!

We had a really bad fire last year, and this is what the beginning of the canyon looks like.

So we went camping this weekend, we went with a bunch of friends up to the Uintas. I realized that I am so not a camper. We forgot a ton of stuff, plates, silverware, accesories of all kinds. We only had enough food to last us the first night. Thank heaven for good friends or we would have starved to death. Oh also, we only camped about 30 minutes from home, so you better believe we went home Saturday and stocked up. The first night we put our tent in a terrible spot- we ended up being right where everyone parked there cars and camp trailers. There was people walking back and forth around my tent all night, and the campers had generators running all night. The tent was terribly uneven , so when I first laid down for the night, I think my body contorted in 3 different directions, needless to say I ended up sleeping in the backseat of my Tahoe. Neither of which were very comfortable. On saturday we played a few games of Paintball, my first time ever, and I can say that I still luckily have never been pegged by a paintball. My husband however not so fortunate, he has 3 mega welts. That part of the day was fun. That night we moved the tent, but it rained for like 3 hours solid so our stuff was damp, and it was so cold, again I ended up sleeping in the Tahoe again... And don't even get me started on the no toilet thing... I am way to spoiled apparently because that was the absolute worst part of my days in the middle of nowhere. I am just a wimp I guess but for some reason, I have no interest in camping again for awhile. The scenery however was beautiful. On sunday morning we actually had a deer come dang near right into the campground. All in all , it was a good weekend with friends, a small break from the kids (even though I was having kid withdrawls the first night)(and panic because my phone had no service at all, and my phone is my lifeline), and beautiful scenery.

Microbursts.

Saturday, about 11:00pm we had what appears to be a dry microburst! At first it was just really bad lightning, followed by a warm breeze.
This was a crazy night. My husband and I were outside trying to pick things up cause we saw how massive the wind was, at the same time my daughter started screaming in the bedroom because the wind had somehow knocked our attic door open and it scared her. So we went to help her and calm her and the power went out , which scared the kids even more. We had to search the house for flashlights and get them settled etc...Mean while outside my husbands bar b q grill had been picked up and knocked over- propane tank and all. We have a rocking horse thing outside that blew around the side yard and into the street. We had 2 childrens toy kitchens outside , one blew into the street and the other one , we could not find until morning, was across the street in the neighbors back yard. Luckily nothing severe happened but it was definitely a creepy night. The lights were out for 4 or 5 hours, the kids went to bed about an hour before they came on. My husband did the drive around because he had heard something about a mini tornado. He said he saw alot of branches scattered everywhere, and alot of cop cars and such, but no sign of an actual tornado. So we still think that it was just a microburst. We spent alot of time outside trying to listen to the news in the car and talking to the neighbors. There was alot of downed trees, and branches. Cops and fire sirens flailing in the distance.
Just a few minutes before it all happened I was outside taking pictures of the moon, the sky was really dark and black. After the wind storm , everything stopped completely. No wind, rain, lightning or thunder but the air was very warm , almost hot.
Unfortunately I have no pictures of the storm.
